Yaaaaaas. I'm spoiled in Austin TX with amazing and unique restaurants (food snob). I don't like stuffy, overly pretentious environments but love flavorful slightly fancy dishes. Citizen Public House is right up my alley.
Excellent service, drinks, and of course, amazing food. When our crew eats out, we order almost everything and share family style (whether it's an Asian restaurant or not). We tried practically everything, and I loved almost all of it.
Highly recommend:
- burrata appetizer
- cornmeal fried catfish appetizer
- pork shank entree (giant entree btw)
- any fish they have (they know their fish)
Hard pass on:
- Mac and cheese (sounds great but had zero flavor)
- meatloaf entree (just ok)
Watch out for:
Paper cuts on your forearms from the paper they lay on top of the tables. SO PAINFUL!
This is one place you will leave happy, full, and ready to take on the Scottsdale party scene as the restaurant is located right in the center of the action.
