  • The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is my new go-to in Las Vegas right now. If a designer got inside my head and made everything I wanted in a resort, it would be The Cosmopolitan. THE COSMOPOLITAN The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (commonly referred to simply as The Cosmopolitan or The Cosmo) is a luxury resort casino and hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The resort opened on December 15, 2010, and is located just south of the Bellagio on the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard. It consists of two high rise towers, the Boulevard Tower and the Chelsea Tower, both of which are 603 ft tall. The $3.9 billion project features 3,027 rooms, a 110,000 sq ft casino, 300,000 sq ft of retail and restaurant space, a 40,000 sq ft spa and fitness facility, a 3,200-seat theater, and 150,000 sq ft of meeting and convention space. In 2013, the hotel was rated "The Best Hotel in the World" by Gogobot. In May 2014, the Cosmopolitan was sold by Deutsche Bank to Blackstone Group for $1.73 billion. In 2015, the resort was named to the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List as one of the "Top Hotels in the World." THE STORY & SERVICE EXPERIENCE I had a couple friends tell me I was going to LOVE The Cosmopolitan, and they were absolutely right. I walked in, and I was a tiny bit skeptical that I would love it as much as they thought I would. I went through the big doors, past Bond, and then my shangri-la. Yes, Vegas is over-the-top opulent, but The Cosmopolitan is MY type of over-the-top opulent. I took loads of photos of the hanging beads and lights, which turned out very pretty, but they don't even do it justice, it's just that spectacularly stunning. There are bars par-tout, except that some open depending on what's going on, so I didn't get to try ALL of them unfortunately. I went up the escalators to get an alternate view, up, still amazing. This is the type of establishment you can't digest in just one visit. The 3 pools are jamming. The Marquee is my favorite. The spa is off the charts phenomenal. There are several restaurants. They have live venues. And the rooms are miraculous. My favorite is the Lanai. Ohhh yeah, there's a casino. I don't gamble, but I sure love to watch a man on hot streak, but that's one of my hobbies. The staff is PERFECTION. CONCLUSION This is THE VEGAS Hotspot!! If you don't like The Cosmopolitan, we can't be friends. I can't tell you everything about my visits to The Cosmopolitan, you'll have to find out for yourself. All I can say is, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. 5/5 RECOMMEND *This is Vegas, Baby - come find out for yourself! *For more information: cosmopolitanlasvegas.com
