  • I recently brought my great Dane Kona in that we rescued. We are pretty sure Kona came from an abusive home. We were unaware of how traumatized she was until they put her in a kennel before they were going to spay her. She became very sick and Nikki's place decided it was best to wait to spay her, which I am very grateful for. They ran tests to make sure she was healthy, which she was, and then we scheduled her for a week later. The second time I brought her in they allowed me to hang out with her until they sedated her, so she wouldn't freak out. During this time the staff, including the owner, came and cuddled with her, so she would be comfortable with them. Even after her surgery they never kenneled her, they just let her hang out with them. I am so grateful for the compassion that everyone at Nikki's place showed Kona. I really can't say enough wonderful things about everyone there! Thank you so much for going above and beyond!
