I've been seeing pain specialists for over 10 years now due to an injury. The doctors on staff are good but you will probably not get to meet them unless you are going in for an injection or some type of procedure. The nurse practitioner that I was assigned to see should not be someone working with patients as I was treated poorly from the moment I arrived. The nursing assistants' attitude was worse and I felt as if it was my job to cheer this person up each time I was there for a visit.
I was scheduled for an outpatient procedure; when I arrived at my scheduled time at the surgery center they use, I was told that my appointment was 6 hours later in the day despite having my appointment card provided by the staff clearly stating the time. That was strike one.
Strike two was when I showed up for a follow up appointment to review my test results and the nurse practitioner had no idea why I was there and seemed bothered by the fact I seemed more aware of the purpose of my appointment than she was. She seemed intent on spending 3 minutes with me and practically had her hand on the doorknob, I felt rushed and uncomfortable.
Strike 3 was when I showed up for a visit and was told my appointment was in two weeks despite it being clearly written on the appointment reminder card provided at the end of my last visit.
Like other comments found here, I too was treated like a criminal drug addict and I was extremely uncomfortable and offended on top of the fact that I was in pain and seeking some sort of relief and a long term plan to get back to a pain free state.
There are many choices in the area, this would be the last place I would consider for treatment and I suggest you do your research and not settle for being treated like a 2nd class citizen.
