  • Fantastic first experience here! My mom has been taking her golden retriever to this location for years. My mom called Saturday to book an appointment for her dog Bree, and she was able to schedule one the very next morning. Sunday morning, there were only a few cars in the parking lot. We were greeted when we arrived, escorted to the scale to weigh the dog and then whisked to an exam room right away. There was a german shepard in the lobby, but there was a walled partition between lobby seats to keep dogs separate if they needed to wait to be seen. It appeared that area was only used for walk-in clients who didn't already have an appointment. A technician and veterinarian came into the exam room after about 15 minutes. The vet immediately dropped to her knees to greet Bree and take the dog's vitals. The vet tech busily typed in the numbers and other pertinent information that the veterinarian called out at a computer terminal in the room. The vet discussed our options and we settled on a treatment plan. Bree was taken from the room. They needed to apply a numbing ointment and remove Bree's cracked/loose dew claw on her right paw. She had torn it two weeks before, and despite taking antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, she continued to lick at the area. They brought her back to us a few minutes later. Bree had a sock and a green bandage on her paw (Nice Saint Patrick's Day touch!). She was very calm, which means the numbing ointment worked well. One thing I loved about this place is that we paid the bill in the examination room. There was no need to go to the lobby, try to fumble for your wallet while holding your dog as she pulls on the leash wanting to get out of there. Handling the payment processing in the exam room allowed us to let Bree roam the room hands-free. We could ask the vet tech any last minute questions, look over our receipt, pay by credit card, and have time to gather our stuff and our dog in a stress-free environment. I wish every vet did this. It would make things so much easier for owners, pets, and the clinic. I would definitely recommend this vet to others.
