| - Always have received great service at Mallorca. Paella at its best. Many other Spanish style cuisine is offered on the expansive menu. But wait, its the daily specials that add even more to your decision making when selecting an entree! There is so much to consider, but if your not in the mood for the Paella, order a special.
This visit, the lobster was calling my name. So it was ordered. It was good, not the best I've had, but good none the less. Ask for the waiter to plate it for you to keep yourself from creating a mess. Paella was ordered by my son, who of coursed loved this featured staple here. The Portuguese steak and Osso Buco where the other selections in our party. Both were good, not fabulous, but just good.
Our appys consisted of the Portuguese sausage which comes "flaming" hot to your table, It was just OK, but really cool to watch as it cooks and is served table side. The octopus and stuffed seafood rellenos were just OK.
We enjoyed our dinner and was satisfied with our meal. If someone is in the mood for Spanish cuisine and wants great service, go here and choose the Paella. If you have a Groupon or it is Restaurant Week, this may be a viable option. If not, there are so many other places to explore in the Burgh with better food. Just my opinion.
Also, there is valet parking available in lot next door for those who may be concerned with the Southside parking issues.
