  • I've been to Sky Yard twice now and it's become a favorite place in Toronto, even if I don't happen to be staying at the Drake. Here's why: 1. It's a rooftop bar/lounge/restaurant and while one would typically find the desperately hip, not to mention major staff 'tude typical of these desirable places to "be scene" (god, I hate that expression), I've always found both the crowd and the waitstaff to be all around fun to be around. Otherwise, I'd never go back! I swear, if this were in New York, it would be something akin to... well, see my review for Hotel Chantelle. 2. They've expanded their menu and now have several vegan options! I had an outrageously delicious curried lentils and Jerusalem artichoke dish recently and I've also found the veg maki to be excellent as well. 3. Bubbly. Lots of bubbly. We were here on a crowded night during Pride and we were lucky to have gotten there early & get a seat because it was pretty packed by 10. Our waiter was awesome, handled all of his large parties with aplomb and never forgot about us, either. I'm a fan, Sky Yard! Idyllic rooftop bar experience.
