If you're driving down Front Avenue and not paying attention, you'll likely pass this craft brewery by. It's a shame really, because the location is desirable. Portside has a unique opportunity to really separate itself from the glitzy newness of the rest of the Flats East Bank establishments. The decor is appropriately wooden, echoing the barrels of beer. There is more than enough brewed beer and guest beer on tap, but I can't recall any standouts. The booming craft beer industry in Cleveland is well documented, so you gotta brew something memorable. Again, it's in a great location, has a food menu (Americana - I've only had the so-so pretzels with beer cheese), good sized, is clean and has board and card games available! Portside just needs that beer that makes it worth trip down!
