  • Merchant serves up delicious, albeit somewhat pricey drinks. The desert is also very tasty. As a native Lexingtonian, I had to opt for the Lexington Belle, as I'd left my own Lexington belle back home in DC for the weekend. This was the first cocktail I've had combining bourbon and ginger beer, and though I love both dearly on their own, I was a bit trepidatious given the strong flavors and aromas each carries. The combination of the ginger and the high-proof bourbon with a touch of bitterness from the lime and bitters was very good. The egg white gave a wonderful texture. I would highly recommend it. What I can't recommend, though, much less understand, is buying an of the items from the small grocery section of the store, as most are grossly overpriced.
