  • Unfortunately I have to give this company a 1 star It deserves a big fat 0. First off I purchased a deal for Kares Nail Care through buytopia.ca, they were offering a deal to receive a mani-pedi for $19- which I thought why not. Before buying the deal I looked around on their website and social media site and they looked professional and looked like she did a good job. After buying the deal through Buytopia I called to see if by chance there would be an appointment available for the next day- which was a Friday(I figured they wouldn't have a slot available since it was short notice and for a Friday evening but I said let me double check). I called her and was told rudely that you have to book online through their website and there probably wasn't any slots available- fine. I said thank you(even though she was rude to me) and told her I would book online. I booked online for the next week Thursday at 5:30pm. I was given a confirmation message from the website saying my appointment was successfully booked and received an email confirmation as well. I even received a reminder text message a couple days later, reminding me that my appointment was approaching. Guess what? I showed up on Thurs at 5:30pm to find the door of the business was locked. Still remaining positive I called Kares and said "hey i'm outside waiting, not sure if you stepped out but I have an appointment for 5:30," her response: "did you receive a confirmation?' ( I paused) I told her yes I had booked online and received a confirmation as that is what I was told from you last time. She then said sorry I am closed. I told her that I had booked this appointment a week ago and had received more than 1 confirmation, I was upset and cursed her out- I hung up. I left extremely irritated. I went back into my emails, just to triple check that I had received the appointment confirmation(which was there) BUT then I had discovered an email was sent to me earlier that day at 1:44 pm saying my appointment was cancelled. ( I hadn't seen the email because I was at work all day). What kind of person who wants business does something like this? Who cancels an appointment just hours before the appointment is scheduled? I didn't even get a courtesy call and she didn't even offer to reschedule my appointment when I had her on the phone. This is extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional, luckily I didn't have an event to attend. I should've know this would've been a bad outcome from the rudeness I had encountered with my first call. DO NOT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUPPORT A PLACE THAT DOES NOT VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR PROFESSIONALISM. I am disappointed because I really wanted to support a Black owned business but it will not get my support and I will tell as many people as I can to not go here. Kares does not care.
