  • Call it the DMV, BMV or just simply PennDOT if you want. This is where you have to go to get a license, identification card, change your tags, get a vanity plate or take your permit or drivers test. The parallel parking at this place is terrible, I failed a few times. They are open Mon - Fri and then from 8a-4p on saturday. The wait time can be brutal sometimes. You wait in line and eventually get the receptionist, tell her what you're there for she gives you a number and you wait around. sometimes for long, sometimes exceedingly short. You can pick up a drivers manual in both English and Spanish and they have all kinds of guides, rules and regulations available for you. The parking lot is usually made full and there is often a hot dog vendor outside selling hotdogs, cheeseburgers, chips and drinks.
