I used to attend this gym regularly but had to take a break due to an injury. Now 5 years later, I went back and was horribly disappointed in how far downhill it had gone.
Simply put: IT IS NOT SAFE.
At the time of my visit, there were very few good ropes that hanging in the gym. Numerous ropes were thicker on one side of the top rope and visibly worn indicating they are well past their usable life. The padding on the floor is in disrepair and needs to be replaced before people trip on the seams or land on a dead spot.
Other downsides: Grigri's used to be at each climbing station, but now it is bring your own. At the time of my visit the climbs were dated from a year and a half ago. Very few problems were below 5.10, limiting the rehab of a returning climber and the introduction of others to the sport. Restrooms were unclean and broken. The trash cans had a layer of dust (not chalk) on the contents indicating they had not been emptied in some time.
