| - The room itself was adequate. The breakfast was better than most free breakfasts. The price was right...BUT...
Despite the signs indicating it's a SMOKE FREE PROPERTY, people were smoking everywhere. Although several of the front desk staff requested that violations be reported, nothing was done about it. After returning to our room late one night, we enter to find it smelling heavily of marijuana. (We had left the air conditioner on because it was 116 degrees outside, so it must have been sucked in from outside.) I reported this to the front desk but nothing was done to remedy the situation. We had to suffer with the smell.
Here's the worst part. We were having breakfast in the dining room when JACOB L., an EMPLOYEE who was working the front desk, left the area unattended while he went just outside the dining room to have a cigarette. Right next to a no smoking sign. Are you friggin' kidding me?!?! The smell of smoke was wafting in while we were trying to eat breakfast. When we checked out I asked Jacob if smoking was permitted anywhere on the property. He said no and that it was very important to report violations. I said, "Really, so you can't even smoke outside the dining room?" to which he replied "no, Ma'am." I just stared at him for a little longer than I should have hoping to make him uncomfortable. I wonder if he understood what I was getting at. Doubt it though. Anyway, if you have asthma, like me and require no smoking properties, this one isn't for you.
