My husband, son and I ate at the location on Northern Ave. on Veteran's Day in the evening. Golden Corral is excellent in that they provide Veteran's a free meal every Veteran's Day and this year, they included the drink. The line moved fairly quickly as we were waiting outside. The people in line were nice and friendly. The ROTC students from the high school nearby were there to help out. The staff inside worked hard to move everyone through the line and to the registers.
The Veterans were given a sticker that read: "I served." The family and friends that accompanied their loved one were give a patriotic sticker.
We were seated with other Veterans at a table. The lines moved pretty well throughout the buffet stations that had a large choice of foods to choose: comfort food, Asian, breakfast, salads, soups, Italian, Mexican and desserts. Our waiter made sure he cleared the plates and our drinks filled. He worked very hard.
Our experience there was great. It was one of the best visits. We didn't go the past two years and they have vastly improved since the last time we were there on Veteran's Day. We will return to this location.
On a side note the restrooms were clean and well stocked and the restaurant despite being extremely busy, was kept clean, the food was fresh and hot and everything was delicious. Even "Uncle Sam" was there and my son had his picture taken with him :)
