As a military family new to the area wee were trying to rent a property we found on Trulia that is managed by PPM and got in touch with their contact M. Senko for a showing. She responded immediately and was able to show us the property that same day. Great! We were definitely interested and expressed to her by email a couple days later that we would like to make an offer. We did so, to which she said she would be in touch with the owner and let us know. When I emailed her back 2 days later after not hearing anything she proceeded to ignore me, and then also ignored a subsequent email requesting information. So, the only conclusions that can be reached from this are
1: she didn't pass along the offer to the owner
2: the owner rejected the offer, which is fine, why wouldn't she let us know that?
3: the owner rejected the offer because we said it had to have a military moving clause in it, which by the way, doesn't actually have to be in the lease by law, as military renters we are legally allowed to break a lease when receiving orders to move
4: she is not good at her job
I'm sure we will never know the reason as to why she broke off all communication for no good reason, but there's one thing for sure. We will never recommend any new person to the area to use a company that is managed by PPM because of this. I sure hope that the owner of the property knows who he is dealing with and actually did get to see the offer we presented. Luckily for us we found an even better home in the exact same neighborhood, so karma definitely worked in our favor.
