| - If you're like me, then after you eat a tremendous meal at one of our many fine restos, you wonder whether you can compare (or maybe even best) what you just ate with your own version of the same. Of course, to even try, you've got to have access to the same ingredients. What Greenland, SF Market, Japan Creek, and 99 Ranch are to DIYAH (Do it yourself at Home) Asian Chefs is what Artisanal Foods is to DIYAH Fine Dining Chefs. This place gives Joe (or, in this case, Sheila) off the street the access to what the big dogs in town have. Escargot? Check. Varietal sea salts? Check. Pure honey with the honeycomb intact? Check. Tunisian olives? Check. Spanish anchovies? Check and check (yes, they are the bomb.) Specialty cheeses from far away places? Check. Fine olive oils and aged balsamics? Check. And, for the meat eaters, the hams sold here are supposed to be out of this world. Is it pricey? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Well, to answer that you have to ask yourself: what's it worth to have the opportunity to best some of the best? Special tip: these folks take great pride in what they stock. If you have questions, ask -- they're happy to explain where their fine goods come from, and what to do with them.
