My wife and I came in to this T-Mobile last August to purchase our BOGO Samsung S8+. In order to get the one free, you had to open a new line. I closed my line since I didn't care about losing my number. Opened a new line and we both got new phones. The rep said they would process the paper work for the rebate and that we wouldn't have to do anything and said we would probably need to pay a couple payments on the "free" phone which wasn't a problem since they would send you the debit card of the full amount and whatever you wanted to do with the money is up to you.
A couple months pass, and T-Mobile has denied our rebate which they claim the new line isn't eligible which we met all the eligibility requirements T-Mobile asked. We ended up having to go back to this store and talk to the manager a couple times to explain to them the situation. Had to call T-Mobile customer service a few times as well. A big hassle. After another month and a half we finally received the rebate. Not sure if it was the fault of the rep at the store that helped us, T-Mobile itself or Samsung. But it was a pain in the butt.
