  • New to the Pittsburgh area and living in Greensburg, so getting to MCN was definitely a shlep. I used Yelp reviews to find a trustworthy salon...and I'm glad this is the salon I settled on! The salon is clean, hip, and BUSY. Definitely be prepared to spend anywhere between 1-3 hours there depending on how much you're getting done. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, offered beverages, and made polite conversation. I saw Jenna, who is a newer stylist at MCN. She immediately sat down with me, looked at my hair texture, asked me what my hair routine is typically like, and then shared her opinions about what would look nice and looked at the photos I brought. We agreed on the cut and style, but throughout each stage of the cut, she checked in with me to make sure I liked what she was doing. She knew I didn't want anything high maintenance, so she also talked me through the easy styling process to make this new cut work for me on a daily basis. She suggested Bumble and Bumble products that would both protect and help my hair, but was not pushy when it came to selling the products. I paid $40 for this cut, which is beyond reasonable in my book! Very very happy with the results, and will definitely make an appointment to see Jenna in another 7 weeks!
