  • Not a classical music lover? I'm not sure I am either, but I LOVE the Phoenix Symphony. The Phoenix Symphony has so much more than the classical genre. I've been to several shows with lyricists -- in fact, they've even done small productions of musicals (like Oliver and My Fair Lady). It's like you'd expect for any other musical except the "orchestra" is on the stage instead of tucked below! This season I'm looking forward to a cirque show and a few evenings of classic rock (Journey, Bowie and the Stones)! Plus, I love that I can actually hear here. The acoustics are great, as opposed to some other Valley venues. I have a feeling this is all part of their plan, but: I've enjoyed everything so much I'm tempted to try out one of the classical music shows. Kudos to them! It's working!
