  • I looked at 7-8 other companies for some Madison Gold gravel and B&D Gravel came in 25%-40% cheaper than all the rest for the same stuff, from the same place. Diane was awesome and it seems she runs the business out of her house and actually picks up the gravel from the quarry the day of the delivery so there isn't any major overhead which I'm sure brings the cost down compared to others. She was super friendly and helpful, she tried to talk me out of nearly twice the size of an order because she felt I could get by with less gravel than I initially asked for. I ended up still going with the larger order but she helped me pick a different grade of gravel which saved a bunch of money. Day of the delivery: No problems at all, everything went very smoothly and showed up within the 1 hour window I was given. They even called when they were about 30 minutes away. While they don't do the gravel spreading like some other companies do, Diane recommended John (didn't get a last name) who charges by the hour rather than by the ton like most which brought the labor in at 1/4 of what everyone else wanted. John spread all 25 tons of gravel, by himself, with a bobcat and a rake crazy quickly and did a good job with it as well. Absolutely no complaints. I was fixing up the landscaping to sell the house and if the next house needs new gravel, no questions asked, I will give Diane a call again.
