We wanted to try the oxtail soup but didn't want to wait until 11 PM to eat at the California hotel. We ordered some poke and katsu along with the oxtail soup. You order at the counter first and they will bring your meal to the table. We went during dinner time and there was 10 people already in line. There's a sushi only section on the other side of this restaurant. Crowds of people always stand in line to eat here. We will have to go back and try their sushi next time.
The oxtail soup has a different tasting broth. It's more like an udon tasting broth which we found to be very interesting. The oxtail meat was very fatty which also made the broth quite oily. My meat had A lot of fat attached versus what I would get at the California hotel. Quality was lacking but it was good enough for us to eat for dinner at a reasonable time.
The chicken Kutsu was prepared just right and I am enjoyed eating this more than the ox tail soup. The poke was good for what you'd get in Vegas where it is nowhere close to an ocean! My mother-in-law got the garlic chicken and that was very flavorful! Overall I would come here again when I'm visiting Vegas. Good comfort food but avoid prime dinner hours!
