Booked in here by my company and sadly have to spend a couple nights a month here most months.
This hotel is stuck in the 80s and I don't mean just the decor. Most of the furnishings, bath fixtures, exercise equipment, etc... seem dated from this era. Run down, worn, at times dirty... Beds (UPDATE Nov 08) seem to have been upgraded as they no longer are reminiscent of sleeping on a park bench, pillows are still thin and uncomfortable and bedding is... you guessed it: thin, uncomfortable and at times tattered.
Staff attempt to be helpful sometimes but seem overwhelmed by the simplest requests. It usually takes 2-3 tries to get a non-adjoining room (standard request) which is simply frustrating after a long day. Other times, complaints related to glacially slow airport shuttle service, substandard or dirty rooms have been responded to rather rudely.
Pickup at the hotel (after calling immediately on arrival) has taken anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Again.. mounting frustrations and a bad way to start.
On a good note the breakfast buffet is average but usually plenty of fresh fruit and it is cheap ($10) by hotel breakfast standards.
I would never stay here if I was doing the booking.
Tip: Next door is an Asian mall. There is a decent Vietnamese restaurant inside and the food court's Vietnamese sub stand serves up outstanding sandwiches.
