| - Applewood smoke hits your nose upon entering... Your mouth starts to water. The atmosphere is nice - rustic cowboy. The staff was semi-friendly. Their complimentary salsa is kept heated in a crockpot. It had a nice flavor but surprising when the warm temperature hits your mouth. We were told to pick a place to sit. We did just that and that's when our wait began. Service was slow. I saw only one server on the floor while I was there. The place was not very crowded, but it still took a good while to complete the meal and receive the the check. We were there for around two hours from start to finish. Our meal was okay, not the best - not the worst. The enticing smell upon entering could not be found on our plates. I ordered the street chicken tacos. They came with a very small amount of smoked, diced chicken and a large amount of fried, greasy cabbage. The specks of chicken were mixed together with the chopped, fried cabbage and placed on top of four corn tortillas. I wasn't a fan. I had anticipated fresh, raw vegetables with a good amount of applewood smoked chicken. It seemed to me the reason for mixing these ingredients was to hide the fact that there was only a very small amount of meat. It was too greasy for my liking and lacked the main ingredient. My husband's food, the Palo de Lena al Fuego, was again, just okay. He stated that it could be much tastier. This restaurant has the look of a great, casual hangout, but poor service and sad entrees prevent this from happening. Sad to say, it will not be placed on our return list.
