  • I participated in Jimmie Sweets' poundcake challenge, and it was amazing. These folks know their pound cakes. I am not generally a pound cake fan, but Jimmie Sweets makes the bland church picnic classic into a whole new creature. Everything is chewy and moist and good in the way the best bakeries are...It's great to be able to walk into a bakery and buy one little item. Sometimes, I feel like the bakeries around here are geared towards mass-production or big items like wedding cakes. It's kind of nice to have an alternative to Dunkin' Donuts if you just want one little thing...
