  • I've been here a couple of times. The first time was to watch a friend of a friend perform with his band. This place can get quite crowded as the aisle between bar and tables is kind of small and the live bands are a pretty big draw. There's a back room that I sat in the first time that had a pretty good view of the "stage" area. I didn't get a drink or even look at the bar the first time. Big mistake! The bar here is amazing. First, the drink menu is pretty standard but cool for a tiki bar. It's slightly expensive but the drinks are strong. The most impressive part was our bartender. He had flair for days and was pretty funny. He was also on point. He knew exactly who was there first and paced himself very well. Also, he saved chairs for people who had been standing for a while when they opened up. If this isn't great service, I don't know what is. The only complaint I'll have is when we hit the bottom (which is actually the top when you drink a drink through a straw) of our shipwrecked, it tasted really bad. It was probably from the flaming alcohol but eeeewww... I had to get a dole whip to clean my mouth out (excuses...excuses... I know). Speaking of the dole whip... I'm from Hawaii and I've never had one outside of Hawaii. The memories I have of them are warm days in the sun with the smell of sweet pineapples in the air and people laughing. Now that I've had one here, I do appreciate that they have them because I can now associate them with fun nights, strong drinks and good friends.
