  • So Update time. I went to the dealership today and Fabian was in. I talked to him for a while about the car my daughter purchased for them, and the repair situation. Fabian informed me his mechanic had to quit because there just wasn't enough work for him. Second, Mario had to leave for Texas bc his father-in-law passed away. Finally, he was in and out of the dealership and had to change the hours because of a personal family matter. Okay, fair enough, I can empathize with him. Life happens. He stated that all of the parts are in for my daughters car now and that it will be repaired and delivered to her job on Wednesday. That is excellent, buuuut I am not holding my breath yet. I will have to wait and see. We went over the warranty situation, and he is honoring the warranty my daughter purchased. He is replacing the entire cooling system. That is (no pun intended) cool. However, we are not at a five again, beacuse... the guy who did a quick fix on my daughters car didn't put everything back in order. I don't know who it was, but they did it out of the goodness of their heart so she could get her car back to ASLV. The car also needs a battery, which is okay, I know warranties do not cover that, and it's not necessarily his issue, although you would think after dropping $12K on a car, a battery should be good for more than a month. So okay, We can buy a new battery for it. I'm not sweating that. What I do have an issue with is charging her $120.00 to repair the car where the guy had to take it apart to get it running again so my daughter could get it back to ASLV. That I have an issue with. Here is why: If the car had been repaired right away, like within a week or week and a half, I would suck it up and say okay, yeah we will pay that. Again, it's not like I have no heart, I understand there have been massive business and personal issues. But this repair taking almost a month has seriously caused transportation, work, and money issues for myself, my wife, my daughter, her sister, her sister's boyfriend, and countless other friends who have driven her around for work. After waiting for the car for a month, I don't think I like the idea of having to pay another $120.00. That should be done as a courtesy at tghis point in time. It's been a month. Again, we are going to pay it, but I do not see my rating going back to a five star rating. I think after this, three, maaaaybe four stars is as best as it is going to get based on the customer service, and I am not a heartless person, it's nothing personal, it's just business. This expense should be sucked up for the nightmarish inconvenience experienced. While their customer service is pretty much non-existent, I mean come on, no one can take two minutes to return a call or a text? I have to take off work and camp out at the dealership to find out what is going on? Not good. Also, this is a real review, I am not a family member, I am not ripping them apart, although i think from a business standpoint, I am on a solid foundation for a really bad review. Fabian did a good job selling her the car. He took care of her, made certain she got the extended warranty, worked with her when no one else would. I would recommend ASLV to buy a car... again it wasn't that they sold her a lemon, it was just a weird part malfunction. It happens. It is the lack of follow-up customer service and charging her for something that at this point in time almost a month later should be comp'd. I still plan on buying another car from ASLV, but I wouldn't take it back to them for service until they get a good mechanic in, and return calls and texts. That's just the reality of it. I think Fabian is an upstanding guy, and again, life happens, but it's not right to charge for a service after a month of waiting. So I have offered to help him find a new mechanic since I am the Veterans Employment Representative for the State of Nevada. If you have a problem, you identify it, and then help fix it. I want to help because I would like to see this small business grow. I would like to have a solid, reliable, trustworthy car dealer to buy my cars from. I have that, but just not the service side.
