It is a very happening place at the moment. They have Valet parking, at least on Sunday, which is nice since the place is packed. Their menu labeled vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and something else for each dish for those that care about that sort of thing.
I made reservations and came early to check in. Go in on the reservation time. They have a bar area that you can buy drinks from while you wait. Seating while you are waiting is may be an issue. The staff was extremely friendly. We got seated on the second floor. The floor plan in general is very open. The Jazz (i think) music was from a live band till about one thirty. Not bad at all.
I like sweet drinks. I did not find their spritzer or mimosa sweet. So I didn't like them. However the Johny apple seed drink was amazing. They were out of a lot of the bakery things so they were not able to give me the bakery platter or the biscuits and gravy I had ordered. But I did get the cranberry chocolate chunk scone and the iron skillet pancake. I was a little sad that neither had hardly any chocolate. Otherwise they were tasty.
The reason for the low review is mainly because they were out of so mush. For it being a brunch place that was so popular on a Sunday, I expect their bakery to have baked goods. Especially when part of the waiters speak was the fact that they have a bakery down stairs that makes their own baked goods and have half the menu for said baked goods.
Service was fine, But when you want to eat something and already changed it once, it gets kind of annoying for all the hype this restaurant was getting. Swankiness only counts for so much when there is no food.
The brunch menu is very limited so no backed goods means you are basically getting s sandwich or salad for lunch if you don't want the pancake. Since there were reservations I don't think I will be bake if the kitchen can't cook with the reservations along with walk-ins for the restaurant in mind.
