| - This. Place. Is. Amazing.
I just purchased a house and have been on the lookout for different house-y needs. Lucky for me, I have a great coworker who directed me to look at the Valley Habitat ReStores to save a little $$$.
The day I visited, I made sure to clean out my car in case I had any finds to take home with me. (Un)fortunately, I made one of the best purchases ever:: barely-used GE metal+black dishwasher for $75... knocked down to $53 due to a 30% appliance sale this location had that weekend. HOLY CRAP YALL. I feel like I just robbed a bank.
The stores have everything - appliances, building materials, cabinets, tops, furniture, windows, doors, etc etc. Now, you must take everything with a grain of salt since it was donated. But most of what I took at look at was in pretty good condition. Yes, there are items for sale that probably shouldn't be.. but it's definitely worth a look if you want to save $$ and/or have a crafty side.
The employees [all really young folks that day] were super helpful - taking note that if you purchase a large item [like I did], you have 3 business days to pick up. They placed a large tag on my dishwasher and my handyman had no issues picking up a few days later. One of the guys also told me they pretty much receive inventory on the daily and occasionally will receive really really good stuff, like *gasp* stainless steel appliances. But that stuff is gone the second it's placed on the sales floor.
Hope to return soon and find some more goodies for my house!
