| - I am only giving two stars because most of the doctors there are great. However, I was switched from the Shared Care Program to Dr. Kaler and that was when my experience went down hill . Some background- our family was originally put into the shared care program as there was no MP available to take new clients. No problem. However, when my child grew older , I wanted him to have a regular doctor . So I approached the clinic many times about this and finally , this Dr. Kaler took our family as clients ( she jumped on the opportunity to take more clients ) .
Everytime we go see her for my child, if we ask one extra question that is unrelated to what we went in for , she will ask us to book another appointment . She always seems distracted and doesn't seem to be actively listening to anything we say , we have to keep reminding her.
Last month I went in for a check up , and she was one hour late . She came in , laughing , saying lunch took longer today. Seriously? My time is not worth anything then ?
Yesterday I went in for a check up on my persistent coughing . She gave me some antibiotics and was very unfriendly (maybe I was wasting her time ) . I just went to the pharmacy , and the manager there refused to prescribe me the antibiotics as they were not supposed to be used for sinus infection ! Also, this type of antibiotics apparently had lots of side effects and most doctors do not prescribe them any longer . I am still waiting for the clinic or doctor to call me back with a new prescription ! This is extremely unprofessional and I cringe to think what could happen if I was alot sicker or that the meds were for my child.
Needless to say , I am thankful that at least the pharmacist was doing her job.
Will be changing doctors !!
