  • We were here for my daughter's birthday party. They had a blast! I like the location of this place since it's located at a safe neighborhood (Flamingo, between Fort Apache and Durango). For those of you who has never been here, this place is a cool place to hang out with the family and friends regardless you like hockey or not. They offer open public skating for $10 (with rental shoes), $8 (if you bring your own) during weekdays and weekend if you just want to drop by and show off your skills. They also have lessons for adult and kids (hockey and figure skating). They have games and events occasionally so make sure to check their schedule on their website. This ice skating place has two big sections: North and South rink. When you walked into the place, you'll see an information desk on the left for any general questions, buy admission tickets and to check yourself in for party. Passed the information desk, you'll find the store which carry various jersey, gear, etc. Passed the hallway and you'll see the North Rink of your left and South Rink on your right. The skating shoes rental counter is on your left. You'll also see the snack bar in the middle if you need to grab some snacks and drinks. Since we were here for a party, our party room was on the South Rink. They locker all over the place to keep your stuff in if you are not there for the party. The party room itsef was a huge where you can fit up to 50 people inside. Table clothes, ballons, simple decorations were also provided as part of the birthday package. Our Birthday package came with pizzas and drinks. You may choose to add more food. Fyi, they have full kitchen at the back (salad, pizzas, chicken tender, wings, meatballs, sub, etc). They required you to put the order in advance for big party, though. The food was average but that's common for any kids party. Afterall, the guests were all there not for the food. I love how they accomodate younger kids. They had walkers which was very helpful for kids (and adult) who has never tried ice skating before. Every other hours they have Disco Skate where they turn the light off and put some disco lights and music. It was fun! Check it out yourself. Great place for special occasion or just to hang out with friends and family. Or maybe take classes and learn new skills, to show off on your next reunion event :-p.
