  • wow wow wow! My first yelp elite event and it leaves me so pumped for summer of yelp. I ran late to this event and unfortunately missed out on the welcome cocktails but got there literally just in time for dinner. -whew- (Thank you Kris for being so understanding!!) My friend and I have never been to a yelp event so we had no idea what to expect but from the rumours I've heard this live up to my expectations. The staff at Azyun and YelpGTA deserve all the praise possible. Now food: Seared Tuna Rice Toast - this was a great starter. The tuna was fresh and perfectly seared. The rice toast was a fun twist. Pork Jowl Skewers - This left me so curious as to what Sous Vide was wanting more of course. We were literally trying to get as much sauce as possible onto our skewer. But that pork was everything. A must try. Prawn Toast - This prawn toast is hands down my favourite. I would buy that in bulk, perfectly fried and not overly greasy. The dip went so well with it too. No seriously I want to buy that by the case load. Fried Chicken Mantou Sandwich - Sitting at the bar we got to see the food come out slowly for photographs. And these were one of the highlights for photos. Definitely instagram and drool worthy. The chicken was perfectly fried and the amount of bun to meat was the perfect ratio. Truffle Fried Rice - I've never had truffle oil fried rice before but this has changed the fried rice game for me. The server was even so kind to let my friend get one without the quail egg because she doesn't eat egg. I personally loved the cute egg on top and the mushrooms. A big thank you to the staff at Azyun and YelpGta once again!
