| - Just celebrated my 6 year anniversary with my wife, and decided to celebrate it at Donovan's. The decor was a little dated, but charming. When we arrived, the staff decorated our table with rose petals. Very Nice ( Borat voice )!!! My wife ordered their signature banana rum drink, and was everything as described. Our waiters, Brett and Nick, we're very attentive and gave great advice on menu items. We started out with the calamari. Portion size was more than we bargained for ( not complaining ). I stuffed every last one down. Shortly after my squid struggle, our food came out. I went with the Ribeye and garlic mash. Wife went with filet mignon tip, au gratin potatoes ( Brett recommended ), and bacon wrapped scallops. We ordered a side of bacon mac and cheese. I was beyond full, but gave it thee ole college try. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. The mash was good, but expected a bit more. Wife enjoyed her food. Tore the taters up! Mac and cheese wasn't spectacular :-( Meal came with complimentary Creme Brulee! We had overall great experience! Only downfall would be the prices ( yes, I used their Groupon, struggle is still real ). Saw the reviews citing bad service, but I could only speak good. If you're celebrating a special occasion, or if you got it like that, Donovan's is a place to look into!
