Decided to try this place because I've heard some really good things about it. I'm a huge fan of Raku and thought it might be well worth my time to check it out.
Came in on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy. Probably about an hour before close. We were greeted by the waitstaff and seated promptly in what gives you the feel of a private room.
The overall feel of the place is stereo typical of many of the Japanese new restaurants here in Vegas. A lot of polished wood furniture, floors, walls. Dark colors everywhere and a real low-key vibe.
First thing you notice on the menu is that it's 50% sushi and the rest grill items. Not too many choices for the vegetarians out there.
We started off with the main beef entrée. Some kind of sirloin. They don't give you an option as far as temperature wise. Came out a medium well. I gave this a 4/5.
Tried the albacore carpaccio. Very tasty. Comes with a jalapeño on each. The sauce given is pretty amazing as well.
Tried a couple of pieces of sushi, the macro being one of them. Fresh and tasty. On par with most of the other places including the all you can eat.
This place seems to be known for its grill items. The yakitori style. Prices are decent. Portions are kind of tiny. That was my only gripe. Everything else was pretty decent. Service was good.
