  • Love this Humane Society. Every staff member I've met is friendly and knowledgeable. I'll admit, there have been a few times where I know that I've been a pain - asking to meet dogs that I probably shouldn't and won't take home. I'm the problem. But their faces!! Humane Society is grateful for every donation they receive. Sometimes you donate to things and you don't know if you're making a difference, but I've never felt that here. My spoiled pup went through a phase where we were switching food regularly, and Humane Society of Charlotte takes already opened bags of food!! WIN. As far as I know, they are a no kill shelter. Puppies are usually placed in foster care, where they can have more immediate attention. But all pups can be viewed on the website. They've had a handful of deaf pups roll through here (my total weakness), and are sweet and patient with them from what I can see. They also have a cat room, with one room for kittens and one room for older cats. They share a lot with the Spay and Neuter Clinic. One stop homeless pup shop. Support the Humane Society, so that they can keep supporting sweet homeless pups and kittens.
