The idea behind opening this second cafe was to duplicate the quality of Jules Bistro (Mount Pleasant and Eglinton). And for a few months the two were very similar. Sadly, soon thereafter, the portions started to decrease while the prices didn't, and the pverall food quality has since sharply declined.
After not patronizing the cafe for about 4-5 months, I decided to take a group of friends there yesterday - what a disappointment that was! The portions are now miniscule - can barely see the quiche slices - the prices are high, the coffee was sour and the service disorganized. But most important of all, the food itself was woefully inadequate. After singing La Boheme's praises for a few years, I will not return, nor will I ever refer anyone there.
When money seems to be more important than quality, it's time to sing goodbye. What a shame.
