| - We've been waiting to visit the Orchard with much anticipation. My rule of thumb is to wait a month after opening so they can work the bugs out. We saved our first visit for our father's day celebration. We were a bit disappointed to say the least. We had a reservation (great that they take reservations) yet we were offered the worst table in the dining room. So we opted for the lounge area. My daughter ordered the house burger and I had the spicy fettuccine. My daughter's opinion of her burger was "it was ok, not the best I've had, but not the worst either." As for the fettuccine, it was tasty, but starchy and cold/Luke warm. The meals were delivered in a timely manner.
Overall, I was not sure who Pomelo's is trying to be. The menu is not very creative or perhaps too creative, far too eclectic, with a limited selection and a bit pricy for the items on the menu.
The grounds are very impressive and promise far more than what is offered. Lucci's looked far more interesting than Pomelo's....next time.
One last thing, as I said, we went on father's day, not one person offered a "Happy Father's Day" wish. Not the hostess, the waiter, the server, or the owner/manager.
Please Pomelo's, pay attention to the details!
