Well I stopped here after visiting a friend in Mesa and I was hardly impressed. The taste of the desserts was nothing you could not find in the frozen section of a grocery story or at Whole Foods: either overly sweet or underbaked/cooked. It looks nice on the inside but I guess if you spend all of your money on decorations and not on buying quality ingredients or frozen foods from vendors, what do you expect.
The funny thing is all of the photos I found on their Facebook page look nothing like the desserts in the cases. I even asked a waitress, who seemed terrified and wary of every word she said, wasn't even sure how the desserts tasted since she didn't eat sweets. What kind of example does that make for a bakery to hire people that don't eat sweets or baked goods??? Are the owners that desperate for help that they prefer to hire warm bodies instead of advocates of their trade??? So I did a Google search about the place and found out that a lot of the photos ARE NOT FROM AMY'S BAKING COMPANY. The photos they use in their Facebook page and on their website are stolen from other online bakeries/businesses. Well that explains the disconnect of the desserts and the staff.
Other than what I have posted and researched, this place is to be avoided. I would imagine they're months if not weeks away from closing down since because of the bad food, bad publicity and bad energy I felt after leaving this dump.
