  • We recently moved into a new home. The home has windows from Paramount, which is now cascade. We decided to change out the window in our family room to a 9 foot high by 14 foot wide sliding glass door(s). The salesman came out and gave us a few options, we decided on the sliders that come together and open in the middle. We did not call other companies (but probably should have) -- at the time had so many other items to order for the house. Cascade kept us update on the schedule. After our deposit, they sent someone to measure. Then their subcontractor, Rowley Construction, came and removed the existing window, built out the door frame and put up a temporary structure until the door came the next day. The next day Cascade came and put in the new door. They also patched up the stucco, moved electric, cleaned up. We had to call the security company back out to attach the contacts (cost about $100). The sales person had also suggested leaving the existing door out to the backyard, and that was an excellent suggestion. We really like our new door, have not had any issues. Cost approx. 9 grand, came with screens. At the same time they also added 2 windows to our garage, same deal - framed, put in windows, stucco'd. We had to paint after. These are aluminum framed, double pane with low e glass. The frames do feel a bit "lose"; not as solid as I have had on prior houses. But overall not bad.
