| - Extremely disappointed. I booked based on the nice pictures on their instagram and ended up wasting my time and money. They are not all as equally skilled as the owner. I didn't specify a nail tech, so was booked with one of the ladies there and assumed that she would be able to do a decent job.
She was so rough in filing my nails, with no regard for skin vs nail, that the skin became raw, to the point where I had to ask her to just stop filing. My fingers were throbbing in pain all night afterwards. More than 24 hours later it still burns to wash my hands. The extensions were also very bumpy when they were applied, and I had to ask twice for her to drill them down to a more natural thickness.
I wanted a 'coffin' shape, and out of 10 nails, about 4 of them are shaped to my liking. One of them was so warped that I had to eventually speak up and ask her to redo it, even after a few coats of polish. She said she would and proceeded to continue adding coats as if everything was fine. I had to ask her again when she said that I was done to fix the nail. At this point she tried telling me that it was my FINGER and not the nail that was crooked. In 30 years of life, I must have failed to notice that I had a crooked finger. After showing two of the other employees the nail, and getting them to agree with me, she did a half-assed job of trying to fix it. At this point, she had filed off half the shellac, and even then I had to ask to put a new coat of topcoat and do another round under the UV light to seal it. So I guess I can say I left there with 4.5/10 nails shaped somewhat satisfactorily. Anyone who has seen proper coffin shaped nails knows that they are either perfectly shaped, or the whole job looks sloppy.
I decided against the fancy designs because of the price, since I was already paying base price for extensions, + extra for coffin shape + extra for shellac. $60 later I left with nails I did not like, cut and sore fingers, and to top it off the polish is already lifting on the middle finger less than a day later. If I wasn't travelling in the morning, I would go to my regular nail tech and have these all removed.
Won't be going back.
