| - I've been here two times, once a few years ago and then recently with my family. Both times, I enjoyed my time there! Com tam is one of my favorite types of food and both times I've had it here, it has fulfilled my craving. I will say that the com tam in Orange County, CA and Houston, TX is a little more flavorful, a little cheaper, and overall better, but this restaurant is all I would need.
The restaurant is located in Mekong plaza and has two entrances - one from the main parking lot and one from the Mekong supermarket.
The sliced beef, steamed egg meatloaf, rice, and pickled vegetables were great. The fried minced shrimp with egg roll skin is also some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Some minor personal things I encountered were that the clear broth pork based soup that they give with each broken rice dish was saltier than I expected (it doesn't really cleanse the palate too well which is how I personally like it), the fish sauce could maybe be slightly sweeter, and the shredded pork skin could be flavored better. But those personal preferences vary from person to person.
All in all, I'm happy this restaurant is in the Valley as they make a Vietnamese dish available that deserves the public awareness that pho has.
