The cinema was our rescue, as we were stranded in Montreal at the start of the great blizzard of 2013, which completely snowed out our driving route home to Philadelphia. The edges reached Montreal, and the biting winds and frigid temps prohibited any notion of venturing out in search of entertainment.
THANK G-D for the La Ville Souterraine - which provided an underground path straight to the movies. We watched a new release, and were pleasantly surprised at the ease of buying tickets at the counter: no long lines, no pushing or exasperated customers. The seating was very comfortable: I got a kick out of pre assigned seats - you're guaranteed your spot, no matter how late you arrive.
Fun and convenient cineplex location, two steps away from extensive dining choices for "avant ou après" a movie at the large and diverse food court. Of course, you can always grab something at the concession stands.
