I hired this company in July to manage a property of mine and wish I never did. Timing was important for me because I was heading out if country and wanted to be sure that my tenant would be taken care of should anything come up. They were very responsive before I signed a contract. When I was signing I asked that my tenant be contacted that week to begin the transition. The week went by and I never heard from my account manager for an intro and my tenant wasn't contacted. When I finally heard from her (Janna) she said, "sorry we got a bunch of new contracts this week and was very busy." I immediately felt that my business was not important.
So I go on my trip and my tenant has a small issue. The garbage disposal was jammed. Rather than gaining permission from the tenant to enter the property to fix the issue they made it more difficult by forcing the tenant to set an appointment with their handyman (vendor not an employee). My tenant is also in sales so has a very busy schedule at month end...they were inconveniencing him further for a minor repair. So I return from my travels and this issue is still not fixed. When I ask why Janna blames my tenant and then when I ask why this wasn't handled more proactively I hear, "Its the end of the month so every things been crazy." Thats the common theme here...the account managers seem to have more work than they can handle.
So I talk to their Broker Chris and he agrees to allow me to walk away but then it took me 3 weeks to get my rent payment AND they stole $75 from me. When I signed up I was offered two free months and this was month 2. I have an email from Janna confirming I would not pay their $75 fee until October. I haven't received a response from Janna regarding my missing $75.
I cannot recommend this company. They are careless and unprofessional.
