This is so hard - I want this place to be amazing but it keeps falling short.
We'll start with the welcome - or lack thereof. We visited for Breakfast on Sunday morning where you pay a premium. The dining room was maybe 1/4 full. We charged the 2 breakfast's to our room at the Bellagio, which was extremely uneventful. Quick with little conversation or acknowledgement.
Then we wait in a line with 1 person in front of us. And we wait. And wait. Looking at all the empty tables and a couple bussers who appeared to be taking there time cleaning off the tables where people had just left. I could tell only one section was open. There was a lady standing near us who seemed oblivious to the fact a line was growing on both sides (Premium and non-premium guests). The guy in front of us finally had it, jumped over the rope to ask the lady less then 10 feet away when we could get seated. She snapped (and I mean snapped) at him in a few minutes. Another person asked - and again with very pissy attitude - came back with "we're short handed - just wait". WOW! Never seen someone so rude. Put everyone in line in a fowl mood after witnessing that. We almost asked for our money back to go somewhere else. Finally though - we were seated.
Now our server was incredible! She was moving with the sense of purpose and doing her best to accomplish what needed to be done to serve her guests. Total 180 from before. I had a diet coke (I'm not a coffee drinker so get my caffeine from other sources) and she brought a small pitcher knowing that they were busy and shorthanded so refills may not come as quickly as needed. Good job.
Now onto the food. It was OK. But honestly - couldn't tell the difference between a normal breakfast and brunch. There honestly was nothing special.
Overall, a disappointing experience compared to other MGM properties.
