A lakeside trail snaking through 5 historic railroad tunnels towards the Hoover Dam. How cool does that sound?!?
This is a very easy trail that you can wander off at a few points as well and make it even more interesting. Going through the historic tunnels is very cool in my opinion but it's the views that speak to my heart. Early mornings and sunsets are best because when the sun hits the lake it creates shadows across the mountains and water that can only be witnessed during these times of the day. It's breathtaking...
Fun fact: The railroad ran from Boulder City to Hoover Dam from 1931 - 1961.
After you've reached the last tunnel you may continue all the way to the Hoover Dam. It's worth it!
