  • My birthday gift to my wife was a trip to Lewis Hair Salon in Shadyside. She wanted to try a somewhat significant change -- from medium length hair to short -- and she was a little bit nervous about it. Our stylist was Sean and he was great -- both as an advisor and as a stylist. He was patient, friendly and helpful. He listened to what she wanted, reviewed the photos she brought along, discussed some technical details with us, and went to work! About midway through the cut, Sean recommended a minor adjustment to our plan due to the nature of my wife's hair -- and this told me he was paying close attention to everything and wasn't just sleepwalking through the cut. The end result was great, and my wife and I were both happy with the new look! The only negative thing I can say about the place is the somewhat small reception area -- but then again -- it is Shadyside. Thanks, Sean!
