I am pregnant with my first child and had no clue how to go about finding an OB dr. I did my research (obviously not enough) and found this office and decided to set up an appointment. My first appointment was great it was with the Nurse practitioner. She was absolutely wonderful! I did however notice the front office staff were sort of cold and not very friendly but I blew that of because I was so happy about being pregnant. Weeks go by and I'm noticing bills in the mail that are outrageous amounts. Come to find out, the front office staff haven't a clue on how to bill medical insurance. I have UHC and a decent plan so I was really thrown off by the $200 bills every visit. I called my insurance and they assured me the procedures that were being done are covered however thy are coding them wrong so UHC isn't recognizing them as preventative blah blah. Anyway Not only can they not do medical coding but they also had me doing transvaginals everytime I went which is completely unessesary and NOT covered as they were well aware of. So that's problem #1. #2 is I faxed an FMLA packet over so that I could call out of work for my sickness when needed...mind you I work on an ambulance around sick people all day. Anyway, I was told it was filled out and sent to my work. I'm thinking great done deal I don't have to worry anymore...boy was I wrong! Next thing I know, I'm getting terminate from my CAREER because I am abusing the attendance policy. I called out for a week due to awful nausea! It was approved no questions asked. Come to find out Dr. Brar office staff never sent the FMLA packet over. So then I ask for a letter and they give me a hard time about it. I should have called my work to make sure all my ducks were in a row, that was my bad however not an excuse for the lazy's behind the desk. I'm now in the process of filing a grievance with my work over the mistake. And this office won't even write a letter owning there mistake! All they said was "oh sorry". #3 above all, I felt so uncomfortable with the Dr. She always rushed me through my appointments and is never available for me to speak to unless I have an appointment for $200. I would never recommend this place to any expectant mothers. I now have a new Dr, holy cow what a difference! I finally feel welcomed when I walk in, but not only that my Dr is available when I need him to be!
