| - I would like to first start off by saying that I have a lot of friends in the industry, and I have a lot of respect for servers. I tip well because I know they work hard. With that being said, this is the first time in my life that I did not tip the server. We had girls night out tonight, and I went here with my girlfriends for dinner and drinks because I heard the food was good, and it was. However, the service was beyond terrible. We sat and waited for about 20 minutes for a menu, and when that finally arrived, the server, Amanda, took another 20 minutes at least to get us anything to drink. Then, even longer to track her down to order food. Our order was pretty simple...two orders of the same entree between the three of us, with a side of ranch. It took a long time for the food to finally get there, but when it did, I have to say that the Healthy Chicken Pita was really good!! However, we weren't given the ranch, and we were only given two sets of silverware between the three of us. We couldn't find the server anywhere because she was at the bar and we had to go to the bar just to get what we needed. Then, she did not check on us once to see how everything was or to see if we needed anything. When it came time to get the check, we again couldn't find Amanda, so we had to go back to the bar to track her down. She finally came over with the bill and it took another near half hour to get her to take it and run the cards.
I hate the idea of not tipping a server, but if this girl had actually done her job at all instead of touching on guys at another table, we would have tipped her and tipped her well. However, I can't encourage crappy service, and this was pretty damn crappy. I'm going to be watching my bank account carefully to ensure that they don't try to screw me on the amount because according to other reviews, this has been the case.
Also, to top off the night, there was a guy who was beyond drunk sitting at the table next to us, trying his hardest not to puke all over himself, and he nearly tipped over multiple times, head first, onto the concrete. Afraid that he was going to crack his head open on the ground, I warned the doormen, to which one of them walked by him and said "he's in the industry, so we can't make him leave." Okay, so you can continue to serve people who are extremely past their limit and are in danger of harming themselves, but you can't ensure that they get home safely?? Good job, Firehouse!!! It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt or worse at this place and they have a lawsuit on their hands if they don't change something. My suggestion is trying to hire some decent help because these guys you have running the place now clearly have no respect for patrons or for their safety.
