| - I was so excited to buy all new furniture, however turned into a nightmare and believe me, I couldn't make this stuff up!!! I spent about $10,000, beware, once you pay, they want nothing to do with you. I honesty believe they sell "seconds." There was something wrong with almost everything I purchased and I purposely selected high end merchandise that would last! What you see is not what you get! Once you make a purchase you have to deal with the customer service in California. They will not transfer the call to Scottsdale, AZ( even if requested) where I purchased the furniture. If you are not satisfied with your customer service inquiry, it takes an "act of god" to get to the next level. The $1,600 sofa I purchased arrived damaged from delivery with rope marks across the leather in 2 places and all three cushions on the back were different heights(very noticeable, about 2-3 inch difference which was obviously a manufacturers defect. I was told by Josh Bonnema from the escalation department that the sofa needed to be picked-up for repair . I couldn't believe what I was hearing! He claimed, "when you buy a new car it's not always perfect, same with a sofa! I guess that was suppose to make me feel better . I also spoke to a LaRonda Sanford who never got back to me. I eventually got a new sofa but only to find the same issues. When the chairs arrived from the dining room set I purchased they didn't seem quite right-they appeared shorter then I remember and also wobbly. To my amazement, I look at the bottom of each leg and there were staples sticking out of each one and the bottom pieces were missing($1,000.00). I guess they also don't believe in quality control. I also purchased an area rug that was stained and ripped. I've had the furniture for 4 weeks now and the leather chair I purchased looks like I've had it for years. The bottom cushion is sagging and the back cushion has an indentation from sitting in it! Isn't that what you're suppose to do! I also purchased a chaise day bed for my son to sleep in when he comes home from college. He used it for 3 weeks and the fabric is all wrinkled and the foam is already weakened and indented. These issues are not acceptable! When I spoke to another customer service employee I expressed my frustration and concern about how much money I spent and the lack of quality and was told, "it's immaterial how much you spent". Nobody takes ownership of any issues and the follow-up is appalling-they play the game "pass the buck"! There's nothing more condescending and dismissive then hearing,"I'm sorry you feel that way!" I have been waiting for a refund check for over a month and still have not received it. I even went into the store and didn't hear back from anybody for 4 days. Not the proper way to handle an unhappy customer or a VIP customer as I was toldI The store manager in Scottsdale from 4 weeks ago is no longer with the company! It's the old saying, "the checks in the mail"! Now I'm being told they need to look into it! I smell FRAUD! In summary, the store level employees are terrific but once you sign on the dotted line, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I'll keep you everyone posted on my progress....
