I am an aesthetician so I am overly aware of sanitation. The place was clean and they used fresh tools. 2 downsides with sanitation I noticed
1.) She blew on my feet.
Now to some this seems harmless as we all have that natural urge to blow on something to dry (especially when it comes to nails). This introduces me to any illness she may be carrying that I am not aware of and bacteria.
2.) She wiped off the TIP (brush part) of the clear nail polish onto the same dirty towel that had been used to clip, trim cuticles, file dead skin off....ext and put it directly back into the bottle. Common sense would tell you how much bacteria just went onto that brush and has a dark wet place to live in now.
The pedicure itself was great. My cuticles are a huge part of why I get pedicures. They were well taken care of. I also think the polish is even with no bubbles at this point. Over all that was the best part! Only small downside is I didn't get toe separators so my baby toe made me worry. To be fair I also didn't ask if they had them. I just assumed they did not have them since that's a typical part of the toe painting process.
Now onto the Employees. The lady was welcoming! We did NOT make an appointment and my sister & I wanted pedicures. Soooo we expected to wait a while. We did for about 30mins. Hey that's what we expected. The lady who did my toes did not speak English which in is ok for me. It's normally never an issue for me BUT it did create some confusion when a guy was speaking to me for her & did not explain why. I kind of figured it out though. The lady who did my sisters (not sure her feelings on the gal) wasn't super friendly but she tried. Sort of rushed some though. I would've given 4 stars but sanitation neglect is something I can't ignore! I would try this place again but if the second time doesn't wow me then I would just find somewhere else.
