  • Have never been treated so rudely in my life at a SSA! He wanted the original birth certificate I had in a protective sleeve taken out. I explained that the document is very delicate and he didn't care so I removed the document and slid it toward him since he refused to grab it. Then he wouldn't accept my divorce decree that states it is a certified copy. He said he won't accept it and told me to go to family court to get a "real" certified copy. I told him the military accepted that document and he said he didn't care, tossed my IDs and paperwork at me. I did ask for a supervisor and she had an oh well type of attitude. I walked out and when I caught to my car I realized he had kept my social security card and I had to go back into get it! If you hate working public service then get a different job!!!
